This weekend was the last chance for British athletes to show their talent in front of the selectors of the World Indoor Championships next month in Poland, and they certainly did not fail to impress.

Nigel Levine produced a text-book run in the men’s 400m as he equalled his Indoor life time best, ahead of Olympic silver medallist Luguelin Santos from the Dominican Republic. Also in fine form was Luke Lennon-Ford who finished third in a time of 46.16secs, knocking over half a second off his Indoor PB.

Margaret Adeoye ran 52.72secs to finish fourth in the highly competitive womens 400m with another seasons best ahead of Sopot. The women’s event comprising of Regina George and Kaliese Spencer will give her great confidence ahead of the World Indoor Championships next month.

Also in action was Rion Pierre in the men’s 60m who finished 6th in a high quality heat in a time of 6.79sec.
