On Sunday, Nathan Douglas was part of a very strong field competing in the Diamond League triple jump in Birmingham. Nathan was looking to build on his impressive performance last week at the European Team Championships and this week he was up against a very strong field.

In a warm but breezy Alexander Stadium, the event was won by reigning Olympic and World Champion Christian Taylor. A season’s best 17.66m leap from the United States athlete was enough to relegate Frenchman Teddy Tamgho (17.47m) to second. Nathan Douglas came in fourth with a season’s best 16.70m, giving his fans a lot to be pleased about after the Brit is starting to show a good run of form.

Nathan is very pleased that he is starting to put together a string of back to back results, jumping good distances that point towards a promising back end to 2013.
