Q: Favourite meet to compete at on the circuit?

A: Probably at Zurich. Growing up that was always a great meet and the main event. I loved how at the old stadium, the crowd were really close to you, they were also very respectable and knowledgeable.

Q: Favourite career memory?

A: I think it would have to be the Commonwealth games in Kuala Lumpur. I not only won a medal but my mum was there and I got to see and visit her in the stands which was awesome.

Q: Favourite Championships you have competed at?

A: Tough question. I’d say that’s a toss-up between my first Olympics in Sydney and then here in 2012. Great environments.

Q: Favourite athlete whilst growing up?

A: It was Linford. I was always tuned in to watch him run.

Q: Favourite event (outside of your own) to watch?

A: Sprints are where it’s at! But I think it depends on the era. If you go back to the 80’s, when I was growing up, the 400m hurdles were exciting to watch. As of recent, the 100m Women’s hurdles have been great too.

Q: Favourite pre-race meal?

A: I didn’t necessarily have a favourite pre-race meal, I try to stay pretty light so I usually just have a shake before. But I have spinach and eggs most of the time in the morning.

Q: Favourite ritual before a race?

A: Well I used to wear a chain with a cross on it around my neck. Before I would get into the blocks, I would always flip it back around.

Q: Favourite music genre to psyche yourself up?

A: Usually just hip hop or jungle music. Again, it depends on the time and what I’m feeling at the moment.

Q: Favourite Hobby outside of your sport?

A: I started trying to play Golf and play a little bit of football as well, I didn’t really have time for many hobbies when I was competing!

Q: Favourite celebrity Twitter Follower?

A: Well I’m not really into that whole celebrity scene. But if anyone I would say Samuel L Jackson. He’s quite interesting.

Q: Favourite holiday location?

A: Definitely Dubai. Went there on my honeymoon and I would highly recommend it to anyone. So modernized, constantly things to do and it’s just really clean and safe.

Q: Favourite movie?

A: Oh man, that’s a hard one. Friday is definitely up there, but I have to include Snatch and Law Abiding Citizen too. Great movies.
