Lisa Mason

Lisa is one of GB and NI’s finest female gymnasts. Starting at the age of 5, she went on to represent her country at 3 European and World Championships, a Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games. Her most notable achievement came at the 1998 Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games where she won two Gold medals and a Silver medal.

On the domestic scene, she has been British Champion on three occasions, her first title being at the age of 14 which made her the youngest ever gymnast to win the senior title. She was the first British gymnast to win the title of Senior British Champion three consecutive years in a row, and she was the first British gymnast to win gold at a Grand Prix event. Lisa was also the first British gymnast to make the finals of a European and World Championship.

Lisa announced a comeback to the sport in January 2013, having retired in 2000 after the Sydney Olympics. After only 5 months of training, she was crowned the English Vault Champion and finished 4th in the finals at the National British Championships. She competed at numerous competitions and in doing so she proved many people wrong and earned herself a spot on the England team. However due to a number of setbacks towards the end of 2015, her comeback and hope of competing at the Rio Olympics was cut short.

Lisa is involved in television presenting, sports modelling, personal training, and has appeared on many commercials, music videos and editorials including FHM & Russian Vogue. She recently filmed features with both Sky Sports News & NBC.
