Sharron Davies occupies a unique position in British life. In an age of increasingly fleeting fame for film, tv, music and sports stars, Sharron has occupied a position as one of the UK’s best known and most popular women since she burst onto the scene as a 13-year-old Olympian in 1976.

As a sportswoman, television personality, devoted mother, stunning model, tireless charity worker, powerboat racer, author, interior designer, or equestrian Sharron enjoys remarkable popularity among 8 to 80 year olds and is without doubt one of the best known faces and widely recognised name in Great Britain.

Career highlights include:

  • GB International swimmer aged 11.
  • Member of GB Montreal Olympic team aged 13.
  • Double European Bronze medallist at 14 (losing out only to East Germans).
  • Double Commonwealth Gold medallist in 1978
  • Olympic silver medal in 1980 (behind East German Petra Schneider a self confessed performance enhancing drug user).
  • Double European Short Course Champion.
  • Retired for eight years.
  • Returned to win national titles and Commonwealth Games Silver and Bronze medals.
  • 200 British records.
  • 5 World Masters records.
  • ‘British Press Sportswoman of the Year’ twice.
  • Awarded MBE by the Queen in 1993.
  • Presenter of Channel 4’s ‘The Big Breakfast’.
  • Amazon on ITV’s Gladiators.
  • Commentator and presenter for BBC television & radio at world’s major sporting events.
  • Presenter of 26 part tv series on parenting.
  • Author of several books.
  • Released Fit For Life – a health and fitness CD Rom.
  • Presented fitness video ‘The Stretch’.
  • Patron of Disabled Sport England and The Sports Aid Foundation.  


Sharron gave birth to her third child in February 2007, and is busy balancing her role as a devoted mum with her career.
